The Standard Detector Tube System mainly consists of the Model GV 100S Gas Sampling Pump and Standard gas detector tubes. All detector tubes are provided in boxes. Each box contains ten detector tubes of the same kind and contains an instruction sheet for the detector tube, as well as ten numbered adhesive labels. Information about the detector tube is printed on the label of the box.
The colour in the detector tube changes as the gas is drawn in. Simply wait the required sampling time and read the measurement at the end of the colour changed layer.
Standard detector tubes are thin glass tubes with calibration scales printed from which you can directly read concentrations of the substances (gases and vapours) to be measured. Each tube contains detecting reagents that are especially sensitive to the target substance and quickly produces a distinct layer of colour change. The tubes are hermetically sealed. To assure a high precision, the tube's inner diameter is tightly controlled and detecting reagents with long term stability (many have a 3 year shelf life) are strictly selected.
Our detector tubes undergo stringent quality control. Individual production lots are tested and calibrated independently of each other to ensure the highest calibration accuracy for each lot. Each detector tube has it’s quality control number printed on it.
