The Analox Ax60K is a fixed CO2 monitor and alarm system designed to alert personnel to a buildup of carbon dioxide (CO2) in small enclosed spaces such as beverage kiosks, food outlets, and service areas. How it works
CO2 is commonly stored and used in beverage kiosks and food service areas for carbonation and dispensing. Although invisible and odourless, CO2 can pose serious health risks if it leaks and builds up in confined areas. The Ax60K provides continuous CO2 monitoring and activates both light and sound alarms when elevated levels are detected, giving staff time to respond safely. The system can be expanded with additional alarm units if multiple detection points are required. Because the Ax60K does not require periodic calibration, it offers simple, cost-effective maintenance and long-term peace of mind.
Installation guidance
For effective detection, the sensor should be installed approximately 450 mm (18 inches) above the floor, as CO2 is heavier than air and tends to collect at low levels. Alarm units should be mounted at head height (between 1800 mm and 1950 mm, or 70 to 76 inches) or near entry points to warn personnel of CO2 levels before entering the space.
