Real-Time Portable Physiological Monitoring
The RAE Systems BioHarness is a lightweight, chest-worn strap that incorporates ECG and breathing rate sensors for real-time physiological monitoring. It facilitates quick assessment of an individual’s health status so work levels can be modified to reduce risks such as heat stress.
The BioHarness links to a RAELink3 portable modem, whose long-range wireless radio transmits sensor readings and GPS coordinates in real time to a PC running ProRAE Guardian safety monitoring software. Readings can be viewed remotely within a two-mile radius and tracked on a local map.
Measuring heart rate, breathing rate, temperature, posture and activity, the BioHarness pairs with other safety sensors to help detect and characterise hazardous atmospheres. Its washable conductive smart fabric has no consumable components, delivering low life-cycle cost for HazMat, confined space and clinical applications.
