Rapid Gamma Detection and Dose Tracking in One Instrument

The RAE Systems GammaRAE II R combines a gamma radiation detector and a dosimeter in a single rugged unit built for national security and emergency response. Its high sensitivity at low radiation levels can alert users to a threat well before exposure reaches dangerous levels.

A sensitive CsI scintillator delivers fast search capability, while an energy-compensated PIN diode provides high dose rate range and accurate dosimeter performance. Prominent visible, audible and vibration alarms respond in under two seconds, and the instrument is immersible in water for easy decontamination.

Two AA alkaline batteries deliver up to 600 hours of operation, and a large 30,000-point datalog can be downloaded wirelessly via Bluetooth. Intrinsically safe and IP-67 rated, the GammaRAE II R suits customs, law enforcement, military, HazMat and fire response applications.
