Portable Gas Detectors Built for the Realities of Industrial Work

Personal gas protection starts with the right portable gas detector. Whether a worker is entering a confined space, conducting a site inspection, responding to a gas leak or working in an environment with a known toxic or combustible gas risk, having the right instrument on their person is the most direct form of protection available.

Gastech supplies one of the broadest portable gas detector ranges available through a single Australian distributor, covering nine product subcategories and supporting customers across Australia and internationally.

For straightforward personal protection against a single gas hazard, our single gas detector range covers H2S, CO, O2, SO2, ammonia, chlorine, hydrogen cyanide and many more, in disposable, serviceable and specialist configurations. For sites where two gas hazards are present simultaneously, the Tango TX2 by Industrial Scientific uses individual dedicated sensors for each gas, a design that significantly reduces false alarms compared to combination sensor alternatives.

Four-gas monitoring is the industry standard for confined space entry, covering combustible gas, oxygen, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide in one wearable instrument. Our 4-gas range includes the Ventis MX4, BW MicroClip XL, BW Flex 4, GX-3R and GX-3R Pro. For more complex environments needing five or more gases, our 5-plus gas range includes the Ventis Pro 5, iBrid MX6, MultiRAE and MultiRAE Pro.

For VOC detection, our PID range uses photoionisation technology to cover over 300 volatile organic compounds across instruments including the ToxiRAE Pro PID, MiniRAE series and QRAE 3. For sites where wireless connectivity is required, wireless enabled portables transmit real-time readings to a central point, giving safety managers visibility into worker status without being physically present.
Rounding out the range are area monitors for temporary site coverage, docking stations for automated fleet calibration and bump testing, and leak detectors for pinpointing gas leaks in pipework, fittings and equipment.

Gastech’s technical team can help you select the right instrument for your gas hazard, environment and operational requirements. Our in-house service and calibration team supports the full range across WA, NSW and QLD and internationally.
