4-Gas Portable Detector
The Multi Gas Clip Simple Plus by Gas Clip Technologies is a four gas detector that runs continuously for three years with no charging. That’s a full year longer than the Multi Gas Clip Simple. Routine calibration isn’t necessary, and its low power infrared LEL sensor is immune to sensor poisons, making it the better value choice for operations with longer replacement cycles.

Three Years From a Single Activation
The Multi Gas Clip Simple Plus does everything the Multi Gas Clip Simple does, and adds a full extra year. It runs continuously for three years from activation, with no charging, no battery to change and no sensors to replace.
For operations that run detectors through a full replacement cycle, that means a lower cost per month of protection than a two year instrument.
Routine calibration isn’t necessary. Each detector is charged and calibrated during manufacturing, so it’s ready to use out of the box.
Low Power Infrared Is The Key
The three year runtime comes from Gas Clip Technologies’ low power photometric infrared sensor for combustible gas. It draws far less power than a catalytic bead, and it’s immune to the poisons that can damage catalytic sensors.
It also doesn’t need oxygen to detect combustible gas. That keeps it reliable in oxygen deficient atmospheres. Electrochemical sensors handle H2S, CO and O2.
Bump Testing Still Applies
A three year detector still needs to be checked. Gas Clip Technologies advises a bump test before each day’s use, to confirm the sensors and alarms respond to gas.
If a bump test fails, or if the sensors may have been exposed to poisons, the detector can be calibrated. An optional calibration interval reminds the user when calibration is due.
Knowing When To Replace
The display counts down the months of life remaining from 36. When fewer than 30 days remain, it switches to a countdown in days. Fleet managers can plan replacements without tracking activation dates by hand.
Same Ecosystem, Longer Life
The Simple Plus uses the same accessories as the Multi Gas Clip Simple. The MGC Simple Clip Dock bump tests, calibrates and programs up to four detectors at once. The GCT IR Link connects a detector to a PC for firmware updates, settings and data downloads.
For sites already running the Multi Gas Clip Simple, the Simple Plus slots straight into the same setup with no extra equipment.
For confined space pre entry testing, the Gas Clip external pump draws samples from up to 23 metres away.

Both use the same infrared LEL sensor, the same docks and accessories, and need no charging. The Simple Plus gives a lower cost per month of protection over its longer life.
