Essential CO2 safety for hospitality and brewing
The A50 CO2 detector is an essential safety tool for the hospitality and brewing industries. This plug and play detector is simple to wall mount in the area where CO2 is stored or piped and provides audio and visual alarms should a leak exceed permissible safety levels. The unit does not require calibration unless local regulations mandate it.
Using an infra-red CO2 sensor with more than 15 years expected life, the A50 is an affordable, easy to operate monitor ideal for cellars, fast food restaurants and similar spaces. The main sensor unit is wall-mounted in the area identified as a risk, and the supplied repeater can be placed at the entrance to warn anyone before they enter.
For sites using nitrogen, a dual A50 combining CO2 and O2 sensors is available, while the A50M uses two CO2 sensor units with one combined repeater for larger areas or cellars with a separate cold store. Although this product is no longer available for sale, it remains supported by Gastech Technical Services and Support.

The A50 detects carbon dioxide (CO2) using an infra-red sensor, with an optional oxygen sensor that can also be fitted.
No calibration is required unless local regulations mandate it, thanks to its stable infra-red CO2 sensor.
It is common in pub cellars, fast food restaurants, breweries, wineries, cafes, kitchens, sports stadiums and swimming pool areas.
The standard alarm set points are 0.5% and 1.5% CO2, with optional set points available.
The supplied repeater is placed at the room entrance to warn anyone entering of an alarm before they go in.
