The GX-2012 is a compact personal five-sensor gas monitor with a built-in sample pump, monitoring LEL combustibles, methane, oxygen, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide. Designed for the LNG and pipeline industry, it offers Normal and Bar Hole operating modes with auto-ranging.

Compact five-sensor protection with auto-ranging methane

The GX-2012 is a state-of-the-art gas detector and one of the smallest personal five-sensor gas monitors with a built-in sample pump. Specially designed for the LNG and pipeline industry in Australia, it offers the dual capability of two operating modes: Normal for confined space and Bar Hole.

Monitoring the standard confined space gases (LEL combustibles, oxygen, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide), the GX-2012 also measures 100% volume methane and dynamically displays either % LEL or % Volume with its auto-ranging ability. The large LCD shows all gas readings, battery level and time, and automatically backlights in alarm conditions.

Standard vibration, visual and audible alarms can be set to latching or non-latching. A microprocessor continuously checks the unit for sensor connections, low battery, circuit trouble, low flow and calibration errors, and the GX-2012 runs interchangeably on Li-ion or alkaline battery packs.

The GX-2012 offers two modes: Normal for confined space entry and Bar Hole, making it well suited to the LNG and pipeline industry.

The internal sample-drawing pump has a range of up to 15 metres, letting you check remote or hard-to-reach locations.

Standard alarms include vibration, visual and audible types, which can be set to latching or non-latching, with automatic backlight during alarm conditions.

It runs interchangeably on a Li-ion or alkaline battery pack that swaps without tools, and the Li-ion pack quick-charges completely in 90 minutes.
