Self-Compensating Infrared Detection for Hazardous Areas

The GasTech Australia Smart Guard series S-Guard GIR-3000 is a single-source, dual-wavelength instrument. The sensing and reference elements are self-compensating for optical integrity and other signal inhibitors, ensuring reliable readings over the long term.

An industry-standard 4-20mA analog output provides remote alarm, fault and calibration signals, while RS-485 Modbus (isolated) serial communication makes it easy to configure a wider monitoring system. A built-in microprocessor delivers self-diagnosis and a rapid response time within 10 seconds.

Built with a flameproof structure for continuous detection in explosion-hazardous areas, the S-Guard operates even in oxygen-free environments and offers a long service life of more than five years with low, maintenance-free running costs.

It uses a single-source, dual-wavelength infrared detection principle, with self-compensating sensing and reference elements for optical integrity.

Yes. The infrared detection principle allows the S-Guard to operate reliably in oxygen-free environments, unlike catalytic detectors.

It provides an industry-standard 4-20mA DC analog output for remote alarm, fault and calibration signals, plus RS-485 Modbus (isolated) serial communication.

It offers a long service life of more than five years with low, maintenance-free operating costs.

The S-Guard delivers a rapid response time within 10 seconds, supported by a built-in microprocessor with self-diagnosis.
