Riken Keiki was established in 1939 as part of the RIKEN conglomerate, one of Japan’s most prestigious scientific research organisations. That heritage runs through everything the company makes. More than 80 years of continuous investment in gas sensor technology has produced a product range that covers over 100 gas detection and environmental measurement instruments, trusted across oil and gas, marine, mining, construction and industrial sectors worldwide.

What makes Riken Keiki instruments genuinely different is the depth of sensor technology behind them. Riken has over 150,000 points of detection worldwide in the semiconductor industry alone, a number that speaks to the reliability and consistency of their sensing technology across the most demanding measurement environments on earth. Their portable gas detectors are among the world’s smallest and lightest, engineered to give workers maximum protection with minimum burden in the field.

The GX-3R is Riken Keiki’s flagship compact four-gas monitor, measuring oxygen, combustibles, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide in a package that weighs around 100 grams. The GX-3R Pro adds a fifth sensor and Bluetooth connectivity in the same compact body. The SC-8000 is a pumped toxic gas monitor for a wide range of toxic gases, readable even through a HazMat suit. The FI-8000 uses an optical interferometer to measure up to 8 different gases with one device, without the sensitivity loss of conventional sensors.
