Single Gas Detector
The BW Solo by Honeywell is an easy to service single gas detector with BLE connectivity, providing real time visibility into the status and safety of workers in hazardous areas. Built around the new 1-Series sensor for improved reliability, it detects up to 14 user selected common and exotic gases. Servicing is deliberately simple, with the sensor, battery and filter all replaceable without fully dismantling the instrument, which keeps units out of the workshop and back on site sooner. Data from the detector or its IntelliDoX docking station downloads into Honeywell’s SafetySuite platform to automate compliance record keeping.

The BW Solo is built around a simple promise: serviceability without the hassle. Unlike many single gas detectors that require disassembly for sensor, battery or filter replacement, the BW Solo is designed so all three can be replaced quickly and easily, keeping ongoing ownership costs low and instruments in service longer.
At the core of the standard model is the 1-Series sensor, the first single-gas sensor of its kind for CO, H2S and O2 detection. It delivers higher accuracy, lower costs and faster response times for the gases workers monitor most often. Beyond these common gases, the BW Solo can be configured with up to 14 different sensor options, covering both common and more exotic toxic gases for a wide range of industrial applications.
Connected Safety
The BW Solo’s BLE connectivity allows it to pair with Honeywell’s Safety Communicator App, giving real-time visibility into worker status and safety conditions. This connected capability helps companies respond to safety incidents faster and with better information. Data from the detector, or from its IntelliDoX docking station, can be downloaded to a PC and aggregated through Honeywell’s SafetySuite software platform, automating compliance tasks like regulatory record-keeping.
Simple to Use, Built to Last
One-button operation keeps the BW Solo simple to use even while wearing gloves, with an easy-to-read display available in multiple languages. The instrument supports IntelliFlash and non-compliance indicators, latching alarms, and the ability to assign detectors to specific workers and locations for fleet management purposes. With IP66/68 ingress protection and a rugged, durable housing, the BW Solo is built to perform reliably in harsh industrial environments.
Calibration and Fleet Management
The BW Solo is fully compatible with Honeywell’s IntelliDoX docking stations, enabling automated bump testing, calibration and instrument management through the SafetySuite Device Configurator software. This significantly reduces the time and manual effort required to keep a fleet of instruments compliant and ready for use.
