Reliable Fixed Gas Detection Without the High End Price
Fixed gas detection doesn’t always need the most advanced transmitter on the market. In many industrial applications, a reliable, accurate transmitter with the right outputs and solid hazardous area approvals is exactly what’s needed. The RAEGuard Lite is built to meet that need, without unnecessary cost or complexity.
It monitors flammable, toxic and oxygen gases, indoors and outdoors. It uses anti poisoning catalytic sensors for flammable gas, and advanced electrochemical sensors for toxic gases and oxygen. Wide compensation for temperature and environmental factors keeps readings stable and reliable.
The oxygen detector doesn’t need a nitrogen zero calibration, which simplifies maintenance and cuts cost.
Contactless Operation
Settings, calibration and configuration are done with a magnetic wand, through the sealed housing. There’s no need to open the detector for routine tasks, which saves time on maintenance in hazardous areas.
The RAEGuard Lite identifies gas types automatically, and the full scale range is adjustable. Early warning and fault diagnosis prompts, plus reminders for calibration and sensor life, help keep maintenance on track.
Flexible Outputs for System Integration
The RAEGuard Lite has a standard 3 wire 4-20 mA output, compatible with a wide range of controllers and alarm panels. RS485 Modbus RTU is standard too, for multi drop networking and real time remote monitoring through SCADA and DCS systems.
Optional HART 7.2 adds remote diagnostics and configuration. An optional relay module adds three relays (30 VDC, 5 A) for local alarm control. Talk to our Technical Consultants about current availability of the HART and relay options.
Simple Installation, Low Running Costs
The integrated design keeps installation simple and quick, using two U bolts for wall or pipe mounting. Pluggable terminal blocks and a pluggable PCB module make wiring easy, and parts can be replaced on their own rather than swapping the whole detector.
The large dot matrix LCD shows easy to read digits, a bar graph and icons. An optional built in surge protection device adds protection for outdoor installations.
A calibration cap is supplied as standard, so gas can be applied directly to the sensor for bump tests and calibration without removing the detector. The RAEGuard Lite is rated IP66 and is designed for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.
