The Riken SP-220 is a lightweight, high-sensitivity gas leak checker available in SC (up to 40 super-toxic, combustible and Freon-based gases) and FUM (fumigation gases) variants. It detects levels as low as 0.1 ppm and offers data logging, an LED torch and IP-55 protection.

High-Sensitivity Leak Checking for Dozens of Gases

The Riken SP-220 gas leak checker range is a simple-to-operate instrument with high sensitivity to a wide variety of gases. The SC version (SP-220SC) detects super-toxic, combustible and Freon-based gases, up to 40 in total, while a dedicated FUM variant targets fumigation-type gases. Whichever you choose, calibration is needed to just one gas (PH3).

Detecting concentrations as low as 0.1 ppm, the SP-220 changes its sensitivity level depending on the gas selected, giving the best possible indication of leak size. High-speed, low-concentration readings make it a fast, capable alternative to gas detection tubes.

The lightweight yet robust design weighs just 215 g and runs on two AA batteries for up to 12 hours, so it is always ready without waiting for a charge. An impact-resistant rubber over-mould, IP-55 ingress protection, two visual LED alarms and a built-in LED torch make it practical in the field.

Built with a new sensor resistant to silicone poisoning and a new charcoal filter, the SP-220 represents the latest in gas leak checker technology, with snapshot data logging that downloads easily to a PC via USB.
