The SharpEye 20/20L (and LB) is a combined UV/IR flame detector that pairs a solar-blind UV sensor with a narrow-band IR sensor for excellent sensitivity and enhanced immunity to false alarms. It offers a 20-millisecond response to a saturated signal and detects hydrocarbon, hydrogen, hydroxyl, metal and inorganic fires.

Solar-Blind UV/IR Sensing With Millisecond Response
The SharpEye Model 20/20L (and LB) combined UV/IR flame detector employs a solar-blind UV sensor coupled with a narrow-band IR sensor, delivering excellent sensitivity together with enhanced immunity to false alarms.
The solar-blind design allows the detector to operate reliably even in the presence of sunlight, while the dual-sensor confirmation logic keeps nuisance alarms to a minimum. The detector achieves a 20-millisecond response to a saturated signal.
The 20/20L detects a broad range of fires, including hydrocarbon-based fuel and gas fires, hydrogen, hydroxyl fuels, and metal and inorganic fires. The LB version adds automatic and manual Built-In Test for self-checking.
