Electrochemical Toxic Gas Detection with Built-In Test

The 65 Series uses the latest electrochemical technology for the detection of a large number of gases at ppm and ppb levels. GasTech’s unique CO sensor incorporates a built-in generator cell that produces a small amount of interference gas over the sensor, giving the user a confidence check that the sensor and system are operating correctly.

The Built-In Test (BIT) is activated simply by placing a magnet on the front cover; a successful test is confirmed when the green LED changes to red and back to green, after which the sensor returns to normal operation within 60 seconds. This feature is compatible with GasTech’s CO sensors.

Built into an RFI/EMI-resistant powder-coated tamper-proof case, the 65 Series offers a simple calibration procedure, a gas concentration indicator, 10-30 VDC operation and a 4-20 mA source output, with 10-year MTBF on the electronics.

The BIT uses a built-in generator cell to release a small amount of interference gas over the CO sensor, confirming the sensor and system are working; the green LED turns red then back to green when the test passes.

It detects a wide range of toxic gases including ammonia, carbon monoxide, chlorine, hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, phosphine, sulfur dioxide, ozone and oxygen.

It provides a 4-20 mA source output and operates on 10-30 VDC.

The 65 Series operates from -20 C to +50 C.

Yes. It has been updated to GasTech's latest digital series, the C-Guard.
