GM25-2
Configurable Portable Biogas Analyser
The GM25-2 by Gas Data is a handheld biogas analyser that’s built to your exact application. Choose infrared channels for methane and carbon dioxide, add up to four electrochemical cells for O2, CO, H2S or H2, and add pressure, flow and temperature options as you need them. It’s rated for Zone 1 hazardous areas and suits biogas, landfill and wastewater monitoring.
KEY BENEFITS
- Configured to your application, with only the gases and options you need
- Up to 6 gas channels, plus a calculated nitrogen balance
- Infrared CH4 and CO2 channels for stable, reliable biogas readings
- Zone 1 rated (Ex ib IIB T1) for use in hazardous areas
- Optional atmospheric, static and differential pressure measurement

One Analyser, Built Around Your Gases
No two biogas or landfill sites measure quite the same thing. The GM25-2 is configured at the time of order, so you only pay for what you need.
Infrared channels measure methane and carbon dioxide. An optional LEL expansion can be added. Up to four electrochemical cells cover any combination of oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide and hydrogen. That’s up to six gas channels in one handheld instrument, plus an optional calculated nitrogen balance.
Pressure, Flow and Temperature in the Same Tool
Gas analysis is often only half the picture. The GM25-2 can add atmospheric, static (gauge) and differential pressure measurement.
An optional vane anemometer measures gas velocity from 0.7 to 40 m/s. An optional temperature probe measures gas temperature from minus 10 to 100°C. That means fewer instruments to carry, and one record of each reading.
Built for Hazardous Areas
Biogas plants, digesters and landfill wells can contain flammable atmospheres. The GM25-2 is ATEX, IECEx and UKEx certified to Ex ib IIB T1, so it can be used in Zone 1 areas.
Always check your site risk assessment to confirm this rating suits your application.
Readings Straight to Your Phone or Portal
The GM25-2 works on its own or with the DataField GM25 Connect app. The app lets you control the analyser from a phone or tablet and set up how readings are taken.
With an internet connection, readings can stream live to Gas Data’s web portal. There’s no need to download data from the instrument after each round, so results are available faster. Reports can also be produced through Gas Data’s Instrument Connect software.
Made for Daily Field Use
The GM25-2 is small enough to hold in one hand. The high contrast LCD is easy to read outdoors. The battery pack is user swappable and gives up to 8 hours of continuous use from a 2 to 4 hour charge.
A weatherproof neoprene case comes with it for protection on site, and it’s backed by a 12 month warranty.
Service and Calibration
The GM25-2 needs annual service and calibration. Gastech can arrange this for you through our service and calibration team. Book in good time before the due date, which is shown on the calibration certificate and on the instrument’s home screen.
Because each unit is built to order, lead times vary with the configuration. Talk to our Technical Consultants about the right setup and current lead times.
