ToxiRAE Pro LEL

LEL Combustible Gas Monitor

The ToxiRAE Pro LEL is the world’s first personal wireless combustible gas monitor, designed specifically for environments where flammable gas accumulation poses a genuine risk to workers and assets. Unlike the standard ToxiRAE Pro which monitors toxic gases and oxygen, the ToxiRAE Pro LEL uses a dedicated catalytic bead sensor to detect combustibles from 0 to 100% LEL, with the most extensive onboard gas library in its class and 55 built-in correction factors for accurate readings across a broad range of flammable gases and vapours.

KEY BENEFITS

  •   World's first personal wireless combustible gas monitor
  •   55 built-in LEL correction factors for accurate readings across a broad range of gases and vapours
  •   Most extensive onboard gas library in its class
  •   Wireless access to real-time LEL readings and alarm status from any location
  •   Five-way local and remote alarm notification including Man Down

When Combustible Gas is the Threat, the ToxiRAE Pro LEL Has You Covered.

Not all gas hazards are toxic. In many industrial environments: welding bays, foundries, oil and gas facilities, construction sites and water treatment plants, the primary risk is combustible gas accumulation that could ignite or explode before workers even know it is present. The ToxiRAE Pro LEL was built specifically for that scenario.

Where the standard ToxiRAE Pro monitors toxic gases and oxygen using interchangeable electrochemical sensors, the ToxiRAE Pro LEL uses a dedicated catalytic bead sensor optimised for combustible gas detection. It monitors from 0 to 100% LEL with 1% resolution and a T90 response time of less than 15 seconds, giving workers fast, accurate readings in environments where speed of detection matters most.

55 Correction Factors. One Instrument

What sets the ToxiRAE Pro LEL apart from standard combustible gas monitors is its onboard gas library — the most extensive available in its class. With 55 built-in correction factors, the instrument can be programmed to read accurately in %LEL for the specific compound present at the worksite. This covers a broad range of combustible gases and vapours from paints, coatings, fuels, degreasers, adhesives, solvents, resins, etchers, inks, pesticides, herbicides and more. No need to carry multiple instruments or rely on a generic reading that may not accurately reflect the actual LEL percentage of the target gas.

Real-Time Wireless Visibility

The ToxiRAE Pro LEL transmits real-time %LEL readings wirelessly to a central command station through Honeywell’s ProRAE Guardian software or EchoView Host, giving safety managers visibility into combustible gas conditions across the worksite without needing to be physically present. The five-way alarm system includes audible, visual, vibration, on-screen and remote wireless notification, with a built-in Man Down alarm that triggers automatically if the instrument detects the worker is down and unresponsive.

Simple to Maintain, Easy to Deploy

The ToxiRAE Pro LEL’s sensor, filter and battery are all user-replaceable in the field, keeping downtime to a minimum. The AutoRAE 2 system handles fully automatic bump testing and calibration, reducing the manual effort required to keep a fleet of instruments compliant and ready for use. Two-button operation keeps it straightforward for any worker to use without extensive training.

The standard ToxiRAE Pro uses interchangeable electrochemical sensors for toxic gases and oxygen. The ToxiRAE Pro LEL uses a dedicated catalytic bead sensor specifically for combustible gas detection in %LEL. It cannot be configured for toxic gas or oxygen monitoring.

The ToxiRAE Pro LEL detects combustible gases and vapours from a wide range of sources including fuels, solvents, paints, adhesives, degreasers, resins and more, using 55 built-in correction factors to read accurately as %LEL of the target compound.

Yes. The ToxiRAE Pro LEL holds CSA and ATEX hazardous location approvals.

Yes, using the AutoRAE 2 Test and Calibration System for fully automatic bump testing and calibration.

Approximately 100 m to a Mesh Router or EchoView Host, and approximately 10 m to RAELink3 modems. Note this is shorter than the standard ToxiRAE Pro wireless range due to different RF modem hardware.
