One Platform, Two Configurations
The POLI MP400 and MP400P share the same platform but suit different jobs.
The MP400 is a diffusion detector with no moving parts and a rugged double shot housing. It runs for 16 hours and is built for personal protection at hazardous locations.
The MP400P adds a built in pump and a full choice of sensors. It runs for 12 hours with the pump on, and it’s the one to choose for confined space entry, where the atmosphere needs testing before anyone goes in. The pump can be switched to low or high flow, or turned off to save battery and sample by diffusion.
Over 30 Smart Sensors
The POLI takes more than 30 interchangeable, field replaceable smart sensors. They include electrochemical sensors for toxic gases and oxygen, pellistor and NDIR sensors for combustibles and CO2, and a PID for VOCs.
Combination sensors such as CO/H2S, SO2/H2S and CH4/CO2 fit two measurements into one slot. That gives up to six gas measurements across the four sensor slots.
Smart sensors carry their own calibration and ID data. They can be swapped quickly in the field, which is useful in hazmat and emergency response.
Designed for High Hazard Environments
A 360 degree LED alarm bar makes alarms visible from all directions. The alarm also sounds at 95 dB, vibrates and shows on screen.
The Man Down alarm triggers a pre alarm if the user stops moving, then a full alarm if it isn’t cancelled. A manual panic alarm lets the user raise an alarm at any time.
Wireless Team Monitoring
For live team monitoring, the POLI is also available as wireless models: the MP400H head monitor and the MP400S. One MP400H connects with up to seven MP400S units, up to 0.8 km away, forming an mSquad. Up to eight mSquads can be linked into an mPlatoon of up to 64 monitors.
On these models, Man Down, panic, gas and battery alarms are sent to supervisors in real time. Wireless isn’t available on the standard MP400 or MP400P.
Simple to Operate, Easy to Maintain
Two button operation keeps the POLI easy to learn. The 128 x 128 graphical LCD flips automatically to suit how the instrument is held, and shows live readings, STEL, TWA, peak and minimum values and a visual compliance indicator.
The POLI logs data continuously, storing six months of readings for four sensors at one minute intervals. Charging, data download, setup and firmware upgrades run through the USB Micro cable and mPower Suite software.
The optional POLI MonoDock automates bump testing and calibration. A mobile app lets workers practise with a POLI simulation on a smartphone or tablet.

The MP400 is a diffusion detector with no pump, built for personal protection at hazardous locations. It's typically configured as a standard four gas detector. The MP400P adds a built in pump for confined space pre entry sampling, and supports the full choice of over 30 sensors, including PID for VOCs.
Combination sensors such as CO/H2S, SO2/H2S and CH4/CO2 fit two gas detections into a single sensor slot, allowing up to 6 gases to be monitored simultaneously across the instrument's 4 sensor slots.
Smart sensors carry their own calibration and ID data within the sensor module. This allows sensors to be exchanged in the field quickly without needing to recalibrate from scratch, which is particularly valuable in HazMat and emergency response situations where fast sensor swaps may be needed.
The mSquad and mPlatoon systems use the wireless POLI models, the MP400H head monitor and the MP400S. One MP400H connects with up to seven MP400S units, up to 0.8 km away. Up to eight mSquads can link into an mPlatoon. A safety officer sees live gas readings and alarm status, including Man Down alerts, across the team. Wireless isn't available on the standard MP400 or MP400P.
The POLI MonoDock automates bump testing and calibration for a single instrument. Charging, data download, setup and firmware upgrades can also be done through a PC, cradle or travel charger using mPower Suite software.
