The SharpEye 40/40 series is built on proven Spectrex technologies, including IR3 and UV/IR. The QuadSense platform takes flame detection further, with fast response and wide area coverage. The series is trusted across oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, marine, hydrogen and heavy industrial applications worldwide, and is globally certified. The 40/40D series carries a five year warranty, and the 40/40C series three years.

The 40/40 series covers a wide range of flame detection applications, from general industrial use to the most demanding high risk environments. The 40/40D series features the next generation QuadSense platform for maximum coverage and fastest response in high risk applications that need long range detection and strong false alarm immunity. The 40/40DUV is an ultrafast UV/IR flame detector designed for complex fire scenarios where rapid response is critical, such as areas with mixed fuels or high background radiation. For tight spaces or harsh environments, the compact 40/40C series delivers high performance where size, weight or mounting flexibility matters.

The UV/IR models detect fires from a wide variety of sources, including hydrocarbon fuels and gases, hydrogen, metal and inorganic materials, at up to 28 metres. The IR3 models reach up to 90 metres on hydrocarbon fires. A built in test function continuously checks the optical integrity and electronics, so you know the detector is ready when it’s needed.
