Ventis Pro 5

Connected Five Gas Monitor

The Ventis Pro 5 by Industrial Scientific is a rugged, connected five gas monitor for personal monitoring and, with its pump option, confined space entry. It monitors up to five gases at once from a wide sensor range, including LEL, O2, CO, H2S, CO2 and VOCs via PID. With Man Down and motion alarms, a dedicated panic button, iAssign, programmable alarm messages and a Guaranteed for Life warranty, it gives safety teams real time visibility of who needs help, why and where.

KEY BENEFITS

  •   Monitors up to five gases at once, including VOCs via PID, replacing multiple instruments
  •   Wi-fi, satellite and LENS peer to peer connectivity share live readings and alarms with safety teams
  •   Man Down alarm and panic button send instant alerts showing who needs help, why and where
  •   DualSense redundant sensor technology keeps workers protected even if one sensor fails in the field
  •   iAssign NFC tagging links readings and alarms to individual workers automatically, even when instruments are shared

Five Gases. Full Connectivity. One Instrument.

The Ventis Pro 5 is built so workers can carry one instrument instead of two. It monitors up to five gases at once and works for both personal monitoring and confined space entry, using the available pump.

The sensor range includes catalytic bead and infrared combustibles, electrochemical toxic sensors, infrared CO2 and a PID for VOCs. That covers most site hazards in a single, compact monitor.

Connected Safety

The Ventis Pro 5 can share gas readings, Man Down, motion and gas alarms locally between monitors, directly to the cloud, or both.

LENS Wireless connects up to 25 monitors in a peer to peer group, so nearby workers know straight away when a teammate is in alarm. With the wi-fi battery, or through a gateway, readings and alarms go to iNet Now live monitoring software. Safety managers see who needs help, why and where they’re located.

Cellular and satellite connectivity are also available in some regions. Talk to our Technical Consultants about the options approved for use in Australia.

DualSense for Redundant Protection

DualSense Technology fits two sensors of the same type in the instrument. If one sensor fails, the other keeps detecting and the worker stays protected. It’s an extra layer of safety for high risk applications.

iAssign for Accurate Records

Gas readings are only useful if you know who was exposed and where. With iAssign Technology, workers tap a programmed NFC tag to the Ventis Pro 5 at the start of a shift to assign their name to the instrument.

All data from that shift is then tagged with the worker’s name, even when instruments are shared or swapped. Live alerts in iNet Now include the worker’s name too.

Alarms That Tell Workers What To Do

The Ventis Pro 5 can be programmed with alarm action messages, such as “EVACUATE” or “VENTILATE”, based on the gas and alarm level. Workers know what to do straight away, which reinforces safe behaviour across the site.

Unnecessary screens can also be hidden to suit the user’s role, industry or site, keeping the display simple.

Built for Demanding Conditions

The Ventis Pro 5 is rated IP68 for submersion at 1.5 metres for one hour. The polycarbonate housing has a protective rubber overmold to handle daily knocks and drops.

It operates from -40°C to 50°C, so it suits cold storage, offshore and outdoor work. It’s ANZEx certified for Australian hazardous areas and MSHA permissible for underground mines.

The Ventis Pro 5 offers LENS Wireless peer to peer connectivity and wi-fi, with cellular and satellite available in some regions. Industrial Scientific describes it as the most flexible connected gas monitor on the market. Talk to our Technical Consultants about the options approved for use in Australia.

Yes. A PID sensor is available for the Ventis Pro 5, so VOCs can be monitored alongside other gases in one compact instrument, without a separate VOC monitor.

DualSense fits two sensors of the same gas type in the instrument. If one sensor fails in the field, the other keeps detecting and the worker stays protected.

iAssign allows workers to tap a pre-programmed NFC tag to the Ventis Pro 5 to wirelessly assign their identity to the instrument at the start of a shift. All readings and alarm events are then tagged to that worker, keeping compliance records accurate even when workers swap instruments throughout the day.

The instrument carries a Guaranteed for Life warranty, which excludes sensors, batteries and filters. The pump and O2, LEL, CO and H2S sensors are warranted for four years, and the PID sensor for one year. All other sensors and batteries are warranted for two years.
