Portable Multi-Gas and Radiation Detector
The Honeywell MultiRAE Pro is a wireless multi threat detector that can monitor gamma radiation alongside VOCs, oxygen, toxic and combustible gases, up to six threats at once. Honeywell describes it as the industry’s only portable wireless multi threat monitor, built for HazMat response, homeland security, civil defence, military and semiconductor applications. Its 25 sensor options include gamma radiation and a parts per billion PID, so responders can carry one instrument instead of several.

Multi Gas and Radiation. One Instrument.
The MultiRAE Pro goes further than any other instrument in the MultiRAE family. The MultiRAE and MultiRAE Lite focus on gas hazards in industrial settings. The Pro is built for situations where the threat is unknown, changing and potentially life threatening.
HazMat teams, civil defence and search and rescue responders and military personnel can face gas and radiological hazards at the same time. With its optional gamma radiation sensor, the MultiRAE Pro monitors both, so responders carry less equipment and move faster downrange.
Over 25 Sensor Options
The MultiRAE Pro monitors up to six threats at once from over 25 intelligent, interchangeable sensors. The options include gamma radiation, ppb and ppm PID sensors for VOCs, electrochemical sensors for toxic gases and oxygen, catalytic and NDIR sensors for combustibles, and NDIR for CO2.
The ppb PID measures VOCs down to 10 ppb resolution, for trace level detection. Intelligent sensors store their own calibration data, so they can be swapped in the field.
Live Wireless Visibility
With the optional built in wireless modem, the MultiRAE Pro sends live readings and alarm status to ProRAE Guardian or an EchoView Host. Commanders and safety officers can see the type of threat, the reading and which responder is affected, from any location. Remote monitoring may need additional equipment or software licences.
Alarms come through five ways: a multi tone 95 dB buzzer, vibration, flashing red LEDs, an on screen message and a remote wireless notification. The Man Down alarm triggers a pre alarm, then a real time wireless notification if it isn’t cancelled.
Built for Demanding Work
The MultiRAE Pro is rated IP65 and complies with the MIL-STD-810G and 461F performance standards. Its built in pump draws samples at an average of 250 cc/min and shuts off automatically if flow drops too low.
The AutoRAE 2 handles fully automatic bump testing and calibration. The multi language interface supports 19 languages for cross agency and international work.
Semiconductor and Environmental Use
Honeywell also lists semiconductor manufacturing and environmental monitoring as applications. The broad toxic sensor range and ppb PID suit low level monitoring in these settings.
